Steffens takes on Chili Bowl Nationals at SageNet Center
Kyle Steffens kicked off his 2025 season this past week with a trip to the Tulsa (OK) Expo Center, where he competed in the 39th annual Chili Bowl Nationals, powered by NOS Energy Drink.
With his preliminary night set for Friday evening, Steffens raced into a qualifier with a ninth-to-fifth showing in his heat race. Taking the green in seventh, Kyle lost two spots to finish ninth, relegating him into a B-Feature. With the top-four transferring into Friday’s preliminary feature, Kyle capped off Friday night with a ninth-place finish.
Returning to the SageNet Center on Saturday, Steffens kept his Chili Bowl Nationals hopes alive with a fifth-place finish in his G-Feature. Needing to place eighth or better to advance, Kyle's bid for his first A-Main appearance ended with a strong 20th-to-12th charge.
