Steffens sixth in Ted Horn 100; Eldora to close out Silver Crown season
Missouri's own Kyle Steffens did his best to make his presence known Saturday afternoon at DuQuoin State Fairgrounds in Duquoin, Illinois, and a presence he made, concluding the 71st running of USAC Silver Crown's Ted Horn 100 with a sixth-place finish, maintaining his place within the top-ten after starting just two positions better. For Steffens, the top-ten outcome was an obvious momentum and confidence booster, as just one Silver Crown event remains - the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
Steffens and his Performance Plus Global Logistics team will roll into Eldora's USAC Silver Crown finale in mid-September fifth in the National standings, trailing Kody Swanson by 11 markers.
