Steffens eyes Du Quoin State Fairgrounds
Kyle Steffens, who is currently fifth in the USAC Silver Crown standings despite a recent DNF in Springfield, Illinois, has eyes set on USAC redemption, as the big cars are set to invade Du Quoin State Fairgrounds in Du Quoin, Illinois, for the Ted Horn 100 on Saturday, August 30. The St. Charles, Missouri, native will roll into the Land of Lincoln fresh off of a Silver Crown start at Illinois State Fairgrounds on August 23, forced to retire early due to a motor hiccup; he was the sixth-fastest qualifier.
A win at Du Quoin would not only grant Steffens the redemption he seeks, but ultimately his first triumph of the season.
