Kyle Steffens visits Farmer City and Fairbury for Illinois Speedway
Making a surprise appearance in the Modified division, Kyle Steffens popped into Farmer City Raceway on Friday evening to compete in the Modified portion of Illinois Speedweek behind the wheel of his Performance Plus Global Logistics No. 8 machine.
After narrowly locking into the feature with a sixth-place finish in his heat race, Steffens gained five positions in the 30-lap main event to record a 12th-place finish.
Returning to action on Saturday for the FALS Spring Shootout at Fairbury Speedway, Steffens advanced to the A-Main with a runner-up effort in his B-Main following a sixth-place heat result. Charging forward in the feature, he passed six competitors to finish just outside the top 10 in 11th.
