Motor woes sideline Steffens in Sumar Classic at Terre Haute
Kyle Steffens’ quest for the USAC Silver Crown National Championship began with high hopes over the weekend at the historic Terre Haute Action Track, as the series launched its 2025 campaign with the 21st annual Sumar Classic.
After posting a mid-pack qualifying effort, Steffens appeared poised for a solid showing in the season opener. However, those hopes were dashed when his team discovered engine damage prior to his heat, forcing an early and unfortunate end to his night.
